Elvita
Delgado was born in the state of Lara, north-west of Venezuela. She
grew up in an artistic climat from a guitar player father and a mother
professor of plastic arts.
|

As
a youngster, she shows particular interest for music and singing.
|
||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
Her
debuts in music are oriented by venezuelian Folklor and Ethnic music
from her country (for all her carrier, she'll never forget her very
roots).

||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
At the age of seven, she makes her first public
appearence singing with her cuatro ( atiny guitar with 4 cords) at Lara's
Folkloric Festival, in Venezuela, in front of an audience of 3000 peaple.

||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
Afterwords, she participates to numerous National and International
Festivals, and is often rewarded.
|
||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
During
her teen years, she follows regular studies as well as following singing
class with Professor Carlos Almenar Otero, and dancing class with Professor
Taormina Guevara. She ashieves a degree (License) in musical education
and starts working for the National Education, teaching children and
kids from disadvantaged areas of her native city.

At
the age of eighteen she is already part of several Latin Music bands
and undertakes a carrier as a professional singer, moving in 1988 to
...Caracas!

She then carries out numerous contracts in famous Hotels and Jazz Clubs
(the International Tamanico Hotel, Macuto Sheraton, Caracas Hilton,
...) where she eventually shares rhe stage with the most famous venezuelin
artists, including Ilan Chester, Yordano, Simon Diaz, Soledad Bravo,
Pachoto Alonzo, Yasmil Marrufo, Armando Manzanero, ...
